OK guys. Thank you for all your input re this subject. All your opinions have been put into account and discussed an re discussed with the delegates and members from every state. At this stage APSA and its members have done much research and taking into account the experience and advice from many of our members with Turbo knowledge we have come to the conclusion that twin 76mm Turbos (rated at 1000hp plus each), is a bit much for Mod St cars. We have yet to see a Mod St car place or show more than 1250HP on the track but To keep the power adders in Parr with each other as much as possible and to allow us to have a buffer for the future cars being built, the members have decided that twin 70mm Turbos each rated at 800hp each would be sufficient. Also for single Turbo setup 88mm rated to 1500 hp will be voted on.

After much support and a push from APSA racers to up Turbo Sizing in Mod St blown and to keep up with the Nitrous and ProCharger guys, the delegates and members have decided this is what will happen.
To Clarify , At this stage we will be voting on twin 70mm or Single 88mm for mod St Blown. These votes will be cast from the Top runners in Mod St blown and Unblown. Also so there is no Issue, these votes will be clearly Posted with the names of voters and their votes. Once we have this vote and the Kmember vote for Pro St Cars, we will also lock in rules for minimum of two years for those buiding cars.
I will keep you guys updated on voted results in the next couple of days.
APSA and its members are making a consious effort to make all rule changes fair and to keep our racers happy and also to grow the sport. We understand that there will be those that are the minority that don't like these changes but whatever the out come this vote has been put into place due to popular demand and will only be voted in by us the racers.

JOHNIE I VOTED NO BECAUSE I DONT BELIEVE THERE IS ENOUGH MOD STREET CARS RUNNING TURBOS WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM RUNNING SINGLE GAUCI WITH 200 CUBES CAN MAKE THAT MUCH WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH A V8 HOW WOULD WE KNOW BECAUSE IT HASNT BEEN DONE YET IN MSB I THINK THE NITROUS RACERS WOULD AGREE TO IT IF WE WERE TO USE DUAL STAGES!!!!!!!!! WHATS THE DIFFERENCE CMON GUYS

No prob Ali. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and yours along with everyone else's is respected.
You do have a point, not many have done Turbos, but this vote came about due to popular demand and people wanting it in. People seem to think that it will bring the Big Block Nitrous and Prochargers more in Parity with turbos cars for the Class. APSA is trying cater for future cars being built and keep as many racers as we can happy.

[quote="DOZ08Z"]I THINK THAT FUTURE CARS NEED TO STICK WITH THE RULES WE HAVE NOW NOT CHANGE EM TO SUIT THE CAR THEY WANA BUILD AS I FEEL THERE IS NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE THAT WANA GO TWIN TURBO IN MSB IF THERE IS THAT MANY PLEASE LETS HEAR FROM THEM !its not a case of giving them a fair go because if a 6 cylinder can be in msb with one turbo and stick with the rules we had why cant the rest we all build our cars to suit the rules not the rules to suit our cars so cmon you twin turbo boys lets hear from you!!!!!!!

The votes are done. The result here is yes. Once we have the final Pro Street K-member votes in , We will lock all the rules in for a minimum of two years. The vote for twins was for a 70mm housing.

The exact period the rules will be locked in is still to be discussed with the other State delegates. I will let you all know.

No prob Ali. Everyone is entitled to their opinion
But my opinion was removed so i will post it agian.
I posted up that 20 votes is not a majority when there is more than 100 members. I was also told that as a financial member that i would have a vote in any new rules put forward.

So does this mean you can use a 70 mm restrictor in front of 2 88mm turbos???

Rules need to be cleared up. Are you limiting the inducer, exducer
or the acctual snout air entry which is same as just placing a 70mm restrictor like they do in rally cars.

The specs will be 70 mm Internal Diameter of the housing..

Ie, innovate make a 70mm, Garrett make a 70mm they call it a GT4294R, Also turbonetics make a HP70. Therse is many aftermarket Turbo manufacturers that make T70's Do your research..Theres heaps

Well done Johnny and thanks for keeping us informed Wink . However I'd like to know about the Procharger ruling too as currently its HP potential is a looooooong way ahead of the turbo and nitrous deals? Since everything is being sorted out now it'd be good to see all power adders in parity so we can get down to racing.
