Modified Street Blown Rules

FRAME / CHASSIS

1.1 All vehicles must retain standard front suspension, must retain factory control arm, stock front cross member may be scalloped for sump clearance. In American bodied vehicles (originally LHD) substitution of local front end of similar design to standard is permitted, i.e. Holden HQ-WB front end in “55-57” Chevrolet

1.2 Firewall must remain standard. Notching for distributer or rocker cover clearence only is permitted.

1.3 Inner rear wheel guards may be moved inwards

1.4 Standard suspension points can be altered, shock absorber location and cars that came standard with leaf springs can be moved

1.5 Coil overs suspension is permitted for tyre clearance

1.6 Chassis rails (rear) may be notched for tyre clearence but not moved or rerouted. Chassie rails may be notched or cut for tyre clearence but must retain inner wall of chassie rail. Inner chassie rail cannot be moved and must reamian in factory position. Any metal cut away must be replaced with the same thickness material or thicker.

1.7 Four links and ladder bars are not permitted

1.8 Adjustable tubular control arms may be used on rear end but must retain factory fixed mounting points and suspension set up. Tramp rods, Slapper bars, Caltrac bars or any other similar devices may be used, any other traction devices (eg. torsion bars) must first be shown to APSA official and left up to APSA discretion or next APSA meeting if permissible

1.9 Fibreglass panels are restricted to boot, guards, nosecone, bonnet lids and bumperbars

1.10 Front windscreen must remain glass all other surounding glass me be changed to lexan as per ANDRA specifications

1.11 Original dash board may be replaced by either fibreglass or steel


WHEELS AND TYRES

2.1 Maximum diameter 15”

2.2 Maximum tyre width and height 29.5”x 12.5” as marked on side wall and in measurement, no “W” tyres permitted. Tyres will be measured on race days with an open template. If tyres do not fit within template those tyres will not be permitted on the track

2.3 Front tyres must be a minimum width of 3.5”


SUPERCHARGERS / TURBO CHARGERS / NITROUS OXIDE

3.1 Roots type superchargers are as per Pro Street Blown but are restricted to 10:71

3.2 Turbo chargers are as per Pro Street Blown but are restricted to single unit only being 88mm maximum size. With twin turbos being restricted to 70mm each (internal diameter).

3.3 Centrifugal superchargers are as per Pro Street Blown but are restricted to single unit inlet diameter – external OD 6”, discharge diameter 4”maximum, housing diameter – (greatest external diameter of housing not to include discharge) 12” maximum

3.4 Nitrous Oxide systems are restricted to a single stage. Fogger or plate systems permitted. If using direct port systems, a maximum of two nitrous solenoids, two fuel solenoids and two purge solenoids allowed. If using plate system, one nitrous, one fuel and one purge solenoid allowed. Nitrous controllers are permitted


MODIFIED STREET UNBLOWN

Rules for this class are the same as Modified Blown but motors must be naturally aspirated. Meaning the use of Nitrous Oxide, Superchargers or Turbo chargers are prohibited.
