PRO STREET UNBLOWN
Rules for this class are the same as Pro Street Blown but motors must be naturally aspirated. Meaning the use of Nitrous Oxide, Superchargers or Turbo chargers are prohibited
FRAME \ CHASSIS
1.1 "Back Half" or 3/4 chassis cars permitted, rear suspension unlimited. Firewalls may be recessed as far as the beginning of the windscreen. Inner guards and chassis rails may be extended to meet new firewall. Inner guards are recommended but not compulsory, may have holes cut for pipes, tanks, etc.
1.2 Front suspension can be fabricated but must bolt into stock location, fabricated tube control arms and K members permitted; stock front cross member may be scalloped for sump clearance. Bolt in center sections for in car oil pan removal are permitted. RRS front suspension is permitted for Falcons and Mustangs. In American bodied vehicles (originally LHD) substitution of local front end of similar design to standard is permitted, i.e. Holden HQ-WB front end in “55-57” Chevrolet. Steering rack conversions are permitted.
APSA would like to ensure that all front suspension components are built with safety as paramount in all cases.
ANDRA safety rules apply to all cars.
1.3 Front struts may be replaced; aftermarket products must bolt up in the factory position.
1.4 One-piece removable front ends are not permitted. Bonnet and boot lids may be removable. Gearbox inspection tunnels, differential inspection plate and floor may also be removable. Material used for floor and wheel tub fabrication must be ANDRA approved. Trans must be covered, no open style trans.
1.5 Chassis rails in engine bays may be chambered to a cross section of 60mm x 60mm or an area equaling to this amount to allow exhaust clearance. All material removed from chassis rails must be replaced with the same thickness material or thicker. This may also be the case for cars needing notch strut towers in engine bays for pipe clearance. Chassis rails must be in standard location
1.6 Chassis connectors are permitted.
1.7 Fiberglass panels are restricted to doors, bonnets, boot lids, front guards, and front aprons and bump bars. Rear quarter panels and roof must be of OEM factory metal
1.8 Front and rear engine plates permitted, mid plate is permitted to be part of firewall.
1.9 Lexan / polycarbonate windows permitted all round as per ANDRA specifications. Front lexan windscreen must be cut to exact measurements as per factory glass screen. No set back windscreens, must be in original position.
ENGINES
2.1 Engine blocks,
Small blocks can be alloy or cast iron with raised cam and spread pan rail, max deck height SBC 9.325, SBF 9.5, Chrys SB 9.5, Holden 9.0, LS-1 9.2, Mod motor Ford 9.0,
Big Blocks can be alloy or cast iron with standard cam and pan rail, max deck height, BBC 10.2, BBF 10.32, Chrys BB 10.7
Any other combinations must be standard deck.
2.2 Maximum head gasket thickness .150"
2.3 Dry sumps are permitted.
2.4 Transmissions must be OEM type or aftermarket type with internal pump, eg lencodrive or API style brute. No Lenco’s or aftermarket clutch less type, lock up convertors are permitted, Dedenbear cases are permitted
WHEELS & TYRES
3.1 Any 15" x 16" rear rim permitted, double bead lock rims are permitted.
3.2 Maximum tyre width and height 33.5”x 17” in 15" or 16" rim as marked on side wall.
3.3 Front tyres must be a minimum width of 3.5”
IGNITION
4.1 One distributor or magneto is permitted
